- Account details: name, email address, phone number, role, and login credentials.
- School data: school profile, academic sessions, classes, subjects, fee structures, and configuration settings.
- Student and parent records: student profiles, admission details, attendance, assessments, fee assignments, parent/guardian contacts, and related academic information entered by the school.
- Usage and device data: IP address, browser type, device information, approximate location derived from network data, and activity logs needed for security and product improvement.
- Media and communications: photos, announcements, messages, and other content uploaded or sent through the platform.

We use personal information to:
- Provide and operate the Adhhyan platform for your school
- Authenticate users and manage account access
- Enable school workflows such as attendance, fees, assessments, notifications, and parent communication
- Provide customer support and respond to requests

4. How schools control student data
Schools are typically the controllers of student, parent, and staff records entered into Adhhyan. Softaim Technologies processes that data to provide the service on the school's instructions. Schools are responsible for obtaining any required consents and for ensuring that information they upload is accurate and lawfully collected.
5. Sharing of information
We do not sell personal information. We may share information with:
- Authorized users within the same school (for example, admins, teachers, and parents with appropriate access)
- Service providers who help us host, secure, send emails/SMS, or operate the platform, under confidentiality obligations
- Authorities when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security
6. Data retention
We retain information for as long as needed to provide the service, meet school contractual requirements, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and comply with legal obligations. Schools may request deletion or export of their data subject to applicable law and technical feasibility.

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information, including access controls and encrypted connections. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies for authentication, session management, preferences (such as theme), and service reliability. Disabling certain cookies may prevent parts of the platform from working correctly.
9. Children's information
Adhhyan is used by schools to manage educational records that may include information about minors. We process such information only as part of providing the school service. Parents or guardians should contact their school for questions about student records held in the school's Adhhyan account.
10. Your choices and rights
Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, or restriction of personal information. Account holders can update some profile details in the app. For other requests, contact your school administrator or email support@softaim.in.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will change when we do. Continued use of Adhhyan after an update means you acknowledge the revised policy.
